Are Webbies Managed or Self Managed?

We offer both services, however the Managed Services are not included by default in Webbies.

How long does it take?

Just a few minutes. You can order your Webby, and have it ready in 2 minutes flat.

What type of server infrastructure do you offer?

Our nodes run on Quad Core Xeon servers with 32 Gigs of RAM and RAID-10 disk arrays with hot swappable drives for minimum data failure.

Do you offer Backups?

Our CLI Tool allows you backup your code directly to your S3 account. However, we don’t offer snapshot backups as of yet.

Datacenter Locations?

We are currently located in Downtown Miami, FL and Dallas, TX.

CPU Cycles

CPU cycles are proportional to your RAM, 1024 gets 4x more CPU cycles than a 256 Webby but, if there are free cycles you will get as many as needed. As long as the server isn’t under high load you’ll have all you need. However, if the server does come under high load your CPU cycles will be decreased down to your maximum share.

What about your SLA?

While there is downtime for required maintenance, server upgrades, possible hardware failures and network outages that might affect our services, we will do our very best to ensure your Webbies are accessible at all times. If an outage does occur you can be rest assured that we will do everything within our power to get all services back up and online as quickly as possible.

Also, we do offer an SLA as part of our Managed Services.

Can I Upgrade my Webby?

Yes, you may upgrade or downgrade your Webby anytime by opening a support ticket. All your data, configuration profiles, and IP addresses move with you to the new server.

What if I mess up my Webby?

You may repair it from the console, reboot your server (soft and hard reboot emulation), restore from a backup, perform corruption recovery, or rebuild to a clean distro; all from the Webby Manager.

What happens if I exceed the bandwidth limit?

You will be notified via email shortly before you reach your limit. If you do happen to exceed your limit, you will be charged according to our overage policy wich is currently $.30/GB.

What is your customer privacy policy?

We will never share or sell any of your information to anyone. We take our customers seriously and go to great measures to ensure that customer information stays secure on our networks.

How does billing work? Is there a refund policy?

Our plans are offered on a monthly subscription basis. All orders placed up to the 19th of the month are pro-rated. After that, we’ll additionally charge the upcoming month. We don’t have refunds, if you cancel you will receive a pro-rated amount credited to your account.

Can I buy more IPs?

Yes, additional IP addresses may be purchased for $2/IP. You may request more IPs through the Webby Manager’s network section.

Do you offer DNS hosting?

Yes, our Webby Manager has a DNS section for handling domains, records and reverse DNS for your Webbies.

Can you install and configure Apache/Ruby/MySQL on my Webby?

Yes, we do offer a hands-on service. Please get in touch with us so we can give you a quote. However, you may use the Webby Manager’s ReadyStack feature to deploy a ready-to-go Rails, LAMP or Django environment in minutes.

Do you offer any commercial Control Panels?

We do not offer a control panel like Plesk or Cpanel. You’re free to install such packages for your own Webby.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We take Credit Cards, Visa & Mastercard, as well as PayPal.

Who coded the Webby Manager?

We coded the Webby Manager 100% in-house. The Webby Manager is a Ruby on Rails application with a Python backend to the Xen API.

How do I cancel my Account?

You may cancel your Webbynode account by logging in to the Webby Manager and going to the Account tab. You have the option to ‘close my account’ or, you may delete Webbies individually without closing your entire account.
